What is "boldr on demand"?

Our "boldr on demand" section is where you can find pre-recorded videos to supplement your live workouts. We're a wondrous one-stop shop over here.

What settings should I use when I'm in the video room?

The most important setting is the "Speaker View" and "Full Screen", both of which will be found in the top right corner when you're in the virtual room. This ensures the trainer is the biggest and the participants are small boxes along one side. You can minimize those boxes or move them on your screen to where you want. You will also want to add your name to your screen so your trainer knows who you are. Go to the "Video Settings" arrow on the bottom left next to Stop Video. Select "Video" settings then "Always show name on video" and you're set! There is also a "mute" function at the bottom far left should you have an unwelcome interruption at your home and don't want the rest of the participants to hear.

How does it work?

boldr provides personal training live, online and in real time in a group setting. Work out where you want, when you want! All you need is a little bit of space, and a high speed internet connection. Our certified trainers will guide you through a live 45 minute, full body workout and provide encouragement, correction and most importantly, results! No equipment is necessary.

Choose a membership or ‘pay as you go’ option and start your work out from the comfort of your home, office, hotel or any location with an internet connection.

How does the membership work?

As a member, you can pre-book your live personal training sessions and you’ll also get a discount (yay!) You'll be billed monthly or twice a year or once per year depending on your selected package. Members can purchase "top-up" classes for $10 at any time to add classes to their schedule.

How is boldr different than all of the other fitness programs and apps already available?

There are thousands of fitness apps out there, but the issue still remains that without someone monitoring your workout, you might not be training yourself as hard as you could be, or worse, you could be hurting yourself by doing it incorrectly. Getting fit can be expensive, time consuming and an intimidating undertaking! Personal training is widely understood to be the fastest way to fitness, and boldr makes it easier than ever to reach your fitness goals by providing innovative, fun, judgment-free, affordable and, most importantly, result-driven personal training from a certified trainer.

I’m new to fitness, can I do this?

Yes you can and yes you should! Our certified trainers are experts in providing fitness guidance. From beginner to seasoned athlete, our trainers provide a workout that is tailored to individual needs and abilities, and ensure proper technique without injury.

How much does it cost?

boldr offers a variety of packages! There are 4 membership options and a ‘pay as you go’ option. Our classes range from around $8.50 - $20.00 per class. boldr costs approximately 75-90% less than hiring a personal trainer at any gym.

Can I book classes with my friends?

We are working hard to bring this feature to you! Check in regularly for updates, for now you'll need to each book separately.

What if a class isn’t available at the time I want?

We are constantly adding new classes to the schedule. Please check the schedule regularly. If you can’t find what you are looking for, please email us at info@boldrfit.com.

How far in advance can I book?

Members can book all of their sessions up to one month in advance.

Can I reschedule / cancel a class?

Yes! We do require 24 hours notice to cancel / reschedule a class. Log in to your account, go to ‘My Schedule’, click on your scheduled class and hit the cancel button!

Can I cancel a membership?

Unfortunately memberships cannot be refunded once you’re into the membership pay period. If you pay monthly/twice yearly/yearly, you can cancel anytime and you won’t be charged for the next pay period. If you ‘pay as you go’, you are charged for one class at a time.

What do I do with my unused classes?

Monthly members can book anytime within in a 31 day cycle. 6 Month and 1 Year packages' sessions must be all booked within one calendar year. Unused classes cannot be carried over.

What do I do if I encounter a tech issue before or during my class?

We are proud to offer you the top video conferencing software out there! However, if you encounter a tech issue, first make sure that your internet connection is working, and your webcam, microphone and audio are turned on. Very occasionally the video stream will drop due to internet connectivity issues. Don't panic, the system will bring you back into the room within a few seconds. What fitness equipment do I need?

No equipment is needed! Just a small amount of space, usually 8’x8’ (ie enough room to do a plank or a lunge), a towel or mat if you desire, running shoes and a water bottle! If you have free weights or soup cans and want to use them, go for it, but they are not necessary.

Where should I work out?

You can work out anywhere you feel comfortable with an internet connection. Work out from home, your office or take us with you when you go on vacation!

What technology do I need?

You’ll need high speed internet! This is a must for the best experience. You can use your laptop, PC, Mac, iPad or tablet. You can also connect to your tv or use airplay to get us on the big screen! Please note: we do not recommend using your phone, as the screen will not be large enough to ensure a proper workout, but it can be done. Please go to ‘how to set up your workout space’ for more info.

How long are workouts?

Workouts are a very effective 45 minutes including warm-up and cool down.

Can I participate with an injury?

Yes, but you must speak with your Doctor or health care professional before commencing. Let our trainer know at start of every class what your particular injury is and they will be able to modify the workout to fit your needs.
